On 1st August 2026, The Drama Department of Sukkur Arts Council organized with collaboration of NAPA Karachi, a one-day training workshop on Stage Drama Direction. During the workshop, Sarfaraz Ali, a senior coach and actor from NAPA Karachi, conducted various practical exercises by dividing the participants into different groups and provided hands-on training in the art of stage drama direction. Actors and directors from Sukkur and nearby areas actively participated in the workshop.
On 25 July 2026, the Literature Department of Sukkur Arts Council organized a lecture program on the topic “The Intellectual and Human Crisis of the Postmodern Era and Contemporary Sindhi Literature.” The lecture was delivered by Mr. Jami Chandio, a renowned intellectual, activist, journalist, writer, literary critic, and columnist.
During his lecture, Mr. Chandio shared his valuable research and insights on postmodernism and its impact on contemporary society. He explained that, whether we consciously acknowledge it or not, we have already entered the era of postmodernism.
The History and Heritage Department organized a lecture program on 18 July 2026. The lecture was delivered by the renowned activist, journalist, and writer Mr. Suhail Latif Memon.
During his lecture, Mr. Memon shared his valuable insights on the importance of preserving history and cultural heritage. He highlighted the role of historical awareness in strengthening national identity and emphasized the collective responsibility of society in safeguarding cultural traditions for future generations. The program was informative, engaging, and greatly appreciated by the participants.
